CUSTOMS PROCESSING SUPERVISOR - DHL EXPRESS PORTUGAL

Location: Parque das Nações, Lisbon Working Model: Hybrid (60% On-site / 40% Remote) Contract: Full-Time Schedule: Flexible, with availability to adapt to operational peaks across Import and Export activities. We are currently looking for a Customs Processing Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the processing, validation and control of information related to Import and Export operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy, document compliance and operational efficiency, while supporting the team and driving performance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead, coach and develop a team of Agents. • Ensure the accurate execution of Import and Export customs processes, maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity. • Oversee the validation and correction of shipment documentation and manifests. • Ensure compliance with national and international export control regulations, economic sanctions, and embargoes. • Assess export and import transactions to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal company policies. • Develop, implement, and maintain Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and company standards. • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes related to Trade Compliance, assess their impact on business operations, and support the implementation of necessary compliance measures. • Coordinate and support security and compliance certification programs, including AEO and other relevant standards, ensuring continuous compliance and effective program maintenance across the organization. • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies, system alerts and operational exceptions. • Coordinate team priorities according to operational volumes and daily business needs. • Track performance indicators and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused and results-driven team culture. • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, operational teams and customs authorities. • Support the delivery of operational objectives while ensuring compliance with company procedures and service standards. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred). • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies. • Previous experience leading and developing teams. • Knowledge of Import and Export processes, preferably with exposure to customs-related or documentation activities. • Experience working in operational environments with high volumes and changing priorities.
