Position: Cyber Security Architect – Telecom Sector

Location: Remote | Portugal (Availability for business travel, including medium‑term assignments (up to 3 months) in Sweden)

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to support the design and delivery of secure telecommunications infrastructures across complex network environments. The role is part of large‑scale transformation programs involving 4G, 5G, Mission Critical Communications (MCx), Public Safety Networks, Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN), and Industrial IoT.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end security architectures for telecom networks, platforms, and cloud environments.
• Define and implement cybersecurity frameworks aligned with industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling, and security reviews.
• Identify vulnerabilities and security risks across telecom infrastructures.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and vendor solutions.
• Support secure deployment and integration of telecom platforms and services.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to ensure security‑by‑design adoption.
• Produce HLD/LLD documentation, security blueprints, guidelines, and technical specifications.
• Participate in customer workshops, technical reviews, and executive presentations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity governance and controls.

Required Profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Minimum 5 years in telecommunications environments.
• Strong experience designing security architectures for telecom and cloud infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of 4G, 5G, IMS, MCx, OSS/BSS, and telecom operational environments.
• Experience with security assessments, threat modelling, and risk analysis.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments.
• Certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, CCSP, TOGAF are highly desirable.
• English level: C1.
