Role Description The Cyber Security Instructor will design and deliver practical, industry-relevant training programs that prepare learners for real-world roles in cybersecurity. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Enugu, with a mix of on-site teaching and some remote work. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing curriculum and lesson plans, creating hands-on labs and exercises, delivering engaging lectures and workshops, and guiding learners through projects related to network, application, and information security. The instructor will assess learner performance, provide feedback and mentorship, and help learners build portfolios that align with current cybersecurity job market needs. The role also involves collaborating with other instructors and the product teams to ensure training content reflects current threats, tooling, and best practices in the Kulvix ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to teach core principles and best practices.
• Hands-on expertise in Network Security, including secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.
• Practical experience in Application Security, such as secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation.
• Knowledge of Malware Analysis, including basic reverse engineering concepts and threat behavior analysis.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or delivering technical training, preferably in cybersecurity or related fields.
• Ability to develop structured course materials, labs, and assessments that emphasize practical, project-based learning.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to diverse learners.
• Familiarity with common security tools, frameworks, and standards (e.g., SIEM tools, OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001) is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, OSCP) are a plus.
