About The Role
We are seeking a Platform & Cyber Security Specialist to work within a large organization as they move through an extensive IT transformation program. This pivotal role involves delivering and securing the organization’s cloud-first technology environment, ensuring digital services are modern, resilient, and secure. The position offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in North West London three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining two days. The successful candidate will take ownership of the platforms, cyber security controls, and emerging technologies that underpin the organization’s digital infrastructure.
The role involves managing the Microsoft Entra environment comprehensively—from Entra Connect, identity objects, and licensing to implementing security controls such as Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR). You will configure and oversee security measures across Office 365 and endpoints, including Defender Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Defender for Cloud Apps. Staying ahead of emerging threats, you will investigate alerts and incidents, monitor and remediate risks, and generate audits and reports. Additionally, safeguarding the organization from spam and phishing will be a key responsibility through Microsoft 365 email remediation, eDiscovery, and retention policy management. You will also manage SSL certificates and the wider Virtual Private Network (VPN) estate, applying your knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and name resolution to configure SSL VPN profiles and maintain a robust security posture.
Qualifications
The organization offers a competitive salary package ranging from £55,000 to £65,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, employees benefit from a very generous pension scheme and a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, professional development opportunities, and flexible working arrangements. The role provides an excellent platform for professional growth, allowing you to work on cutting-edge security initiatives within a dynamic and supportive environment. The hybrid working model promotes work-life balance and flexibility, enabling you to perform effectively both remotely and on-site.
