Cyber Security Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support and maintain enterprise-level security services across a large, multi-site environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and effectiveness of critical infrastructure, identity management, network security, and remote access services.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with technical teams, partners, vendors, and end-users to provide operational support, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to ongoing cybersecurity initiatives. This position also plays a key role in developing and maintaining security strategies that support a large and diverse user population.

Occasional after-hours work may be required to support critical systems, maintenance activities, and project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise firewall environments, including configuration, rule management, validation, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Provide operational support for a large-scale identity and access management environment.
• Administer and maintain enterprise remote access solutions, including configuration updates, issue resolution, and ongoing support.
• Serve as a technical resource for security-related projects and initiatives.
• Manage and support enterprise DNS services, including configuration changes and troubleshooting.
• Support network protection and threat mitigation services to maintain the security and availability of critical systems.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and operational issues.
• Assist with security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation efforts, audit activities, and compliance-related initiatives.
• Provide advanced technical support and escalation assistance for complex security and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in technical discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and presentations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts for security services and processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related IT disciplines.
• Knowledge of network security principles and enterprise security operations.
• Experience supporting cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security-related issues.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and risk management practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise security architecture and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment processes.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus but are not required.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires periodic onsite presence. Candidates should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
