An established professional services firm is looking for an experienced security specialist to join the team. The role involves supporting diverse clients in managing IT security and compliance incidents through structured analysis and effective response strategies. You will work within a dedicated technical team to strengthen cyber resilience and provide expert guidance during critical security events.
What you'll be doing
• Managing the full lifecycle of security incidents (DFIR), including the reconstruction of complex attacks and the implementation of containment measures.
• Developing and evaluating detection and response concepts such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR.
• Conducting security, compromise, and incident readiness assessments to identify and close gaps in processes and technologies.
• Performing penetration tests and adversary operations, including red and purple teaming, to simulate real-world attacker tactics.
• Acting as a technical consultant and project lead, collaborating with management and technical teams to deliver forensic reports and executive summaries.
What we're looking for
• A degree in a STEM field with a focus on IT security or digital forensics, supported by significant professional experience in the field.
• Practical expertise in Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) and a deep understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Relevant industry certifications such as GCFE, GNFA, GCIH, or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and the ability to travel for client projects and incident response deployments.
