Cybersecurity Analyst 12 month Fixed Term Salaried Contract – Dublin or remote

My client is a semi state agency and has engaged IT Search to speak to Cybersecurity candidates who are actively looking for a new position that blends hands on monitoring and vulnerability/incident response alongside occasional GRC activities. This role will suit a candidate with 2/3 years of commercial experience looking for exposure in a larger environment.

The role:

• Working as part of a team (mostly remote) on SIEM and cloud/email security processes
• Blue team activities including incoming security events, escalation of same where required, incident documenting as well as investigation/triage
• Maintain vulnerability assessments across various threat vectors, ongoing reporting and SLA compliance
• Manage internal red team simulations, training and ongoing best practice across departments
• Work with auditors to gather GRC related detail when requested
• Assist ongoing penetration testing and tracking of actions

Requirements

• 3 years of hands on post grad IT Security experience
• Degree in Cybersecurity an advantage as well as any Cybersecurity certificates
• Knowledge of threat analysis, responding to incidents, addressing vulnerabilities
• Experience of SIEM, network security, Antivirus etc.
• Comfort in working on both Windows and Linux systems
• Exposure to GRC aspects, NIST, 27001 or similar
• Real world phishing response/training experience
• Excellent communication skills and attitude, ability and desire to learn on the job is vital
