Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre

• I'm currently working with a leading engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing Data Centre team.

This is an opportunity to work on a major confidential data centre development in Dublin, providing technical leadership throughout the design, construction and commissioning phases. The role is primarily focused on QA/QC, technical assurance and design review rather than detailed design, making it ideal for someone who enjoys overseeing quality and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard

The Role

• Provide technical oversight across major data centre projects.
• Review electrical designs, calculations and technical submissions.
• Carry out QA/QC inspections and site quality reviews.
• Support commissioning, testing and project handover activities.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants and commissioning teams.
• Hybrid working with approximately two site visits per week and remote working for the remainder.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
• 7+ years' experience delivering data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and transformers.
• Experience reviewing electrical designs, technical submissions and commissioning documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
