Cybersecurity & Penetration Testing Internship
LeastGen · R&D · Remote or hybrid (Riyadh) · 2 to 6 months · Unpaid
This internship can be done remotely or in a hybrid setup in Riyadh. It is unpaid, but it offers hands-on experience at an early-stage AI startup, working directly with the founders, and a chance to be named as a co-author if the work is published.
The internship
This internship sits in our R&D department and reports directly to the CEO and CTO. You will work on a live security research project: testing how AI systems can be attacked and defended, from prompt injection to data leaking between users and companies. The work has the potential to be published as a research paper and to become part of our product.
How we work
There is no right or wrong way to do this job. From day one you take the same ownership and responsibility as a full-time member of the team: you are trusted with real problems and expected to see them through. All security testing is done only on LeastGen's own systems, with written authorisation.
Who we're looking for
• Self-motivated, highly autonomous and comfortable with vague, open-ended problems
• Strong communication skills, written and spoken
• Solid technical skills, with a real interest in penetration testing
• Currently studying, or recently graduated, in a STEM field, preferably cybersecurity
A big advantage
Share a personal or hobby project you built out of curiosity and are proud of. We're looking for people who like to build things and solve problems.
What you get
• Hands-on experience at an early-stage AI startup, working directly with the founders
• A chance to be named as a co-author if the work is published
• A certificate of completion and a recommendation letter
• Strong interns will be considered for a full-time role as the team grows
Commitment: about 15 to 20 hours a week.
How to apply
Apply here on LinkedIn or, preferably, email info@leastgen.com with the subject "Pen Testing Internship". Include your CV, a link to a project you're proud of, and two or three lines on why this interests you.
