Wood is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Senior Analyst to join our Cybersecurity team. Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, you will support the delivery of cybersecurity services, projects, controls and operational activities across a complex, global organization.
This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to UK offices on an ad hoc basis.
This role is well suited to someone with relevant cybersecurity experience who is ready to take greater ownership and broaden their capabilities. You will combine hands-on analysis with service coordination, project delivery and stakeholder engagement, while developing the leadership, judgement and management skills needed for future career progression.
The role provides practical opportunities to develop leadership and management capability through ownership of defined activities, smaller work packages, stakeholder coordination, meeting leadership, knowledge sharing and exposure to wider cybersecurity programmed activities.
The key objectives for this role are:
- Support assigned cybersecurity services, controls and recurring operational activities
- Monitor and progress incidents, investigations, tickets, security reviews and stakeholder requests
- Analyze cybersecurity issues and document findings, risks and recommended actions
- Ensure assigned work is completed within agreed timescales and supported by appropriate evidence
- Identify control gaps, service issues and recurring problems, escalating material concerns promptly
- Support the coordination of significant cybersecurity incidents and investigations
- Take ownership of defined project actions, deliverables and smaller work packages
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions and outstanding actions
- Coordinate delivery with technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders
- Provide accurate updates for dashboards, governance reviews and management reporting
- Support risk, remediation, audit and assurance activities through completion
- Maintain accurate procedures, operational records and knowledge materials
- Help transition completed projects into documented and sustainable services
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to practical service improvements
- Lead defined activities, chair meetings or provide operational updates when delegated
- Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and practical guidance

Expected:
- Relevant experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, IT operations or related discipline
- Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, risks and controls
- Experience supporting operational services, technical activities, projects or investigations
- Ability to analyze information and reach evidence-based conclusions
- Ability to communicate technical matters in clear, business-appropriate language
- Strong written communication, organization and record-keeping skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within agreed timescales
- A collaborative approach to working with technical teams, stakeholders and external partners

Desirable:
- Holder of SEC+, CC certification or equivalent is desirable
- Experience in cybersecurity operations, governance, risk, assurance, project or service delivery
- Familiarity with recognized cybersecurity and risk-management frameworks
- Experience supporting incidents, investigations, audits or remediation activities
- Experience working with cybersecurity suppliers or managed service providers
- Experience producing procedures, operational reports or management updates
- A relevant cybersecurity, technology or risk qualification, or active progress towards one
- Experience in a complex, enterprise-scale or geographically dispersed organization
