Show job description

Every organisation is sitting on data, but only a few actually turn it into better decisions. That's where you come in, as someone who can translate raw numbers into clear insights that people understand and act on.

At Darwind, we don't fit consultants into projects, we look for the project that fits you. You'll join a community of Darwinders who value autonomy, ownership, and genuine professional growth, and who believe the best work experience should always be the next one.

Start date: January 2027. Graduating this winter or ready to make your first move into consultancy in the new year? Then the timing is right.

What you will do

As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll support our clients in making sense of their data, while learning alongside experienced Darwinders and a dedicated coach.

  • Collect, clean and structure data from different sources so it's reliable and ready for analysis
  • Write SQL queries to extract and combine the data your stakeholders need
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, keeping them clear and user-friendly
  • Analyse trends, spot anomalies and turn your findings into concrete recommendations
  • Work closely with business teams to understand their questions and translate them into data requirements
  • Present your insights to non-technical audiences in a way that makes them easy to act on
  • Document data flows, definitions and reporting logic so your work stays transparent and reusable
  • Contribute ideas to improve data quality and automate recurring reporting tasks
  • Learn from senior colleagues on the project and grow your technical and consulting skills step by step

Who you are

We look beyond the CV. For us, motivation and curiosity matter just as much as the technical box-ticking, but to thrive in this role, you'll likely recognise yourself in most of the following:

  • You hold a master's degree in a quantitative field such as economics, business engineering, statistics, computer science, data science or similar
  • You have 0 to 2 years of experience, and an internship, thesis or student project involving data definitely counts
  • You have a basic knowledge of SQL, or you're eager to master it quickly
  • You've worked with Power BI, Tableau or a similar visualisation tool, even if only during your studies
  • You're comfortable in Excel, and knowledge of Python or R is a plus
  • You're analytical and precise, and you like getting to the bottom of a question
  • You can explain what the numbers mean in plain language
  • You're curious, proactive and not afraid to ask questions or take initiative
  • You're fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English, French is a plus

What we offer

Competitive benefits package

  • Hospitalization insurance
  • Group insurance
  • Meal allowance
  • Your choice between a company car with EU fuel card or the federal mobility budget

Flexibility and work-life balance

  • Hybrid work possibilities
  • Flexible working hours
  • Projects that match your skills and ambitions, not the other way around

Learning and growth

  • Continuous coaching
  • Technical and soft-skills training
  • Room to grow across different domains and technologies

Culture

  • A human, transparent and collaborative environment
  • Real ownership and influence on the projects you contribute to
  • A team that lives its values, initiative, authenticity and open communication, every day

Ready for your next step?

If the traditional consultancy model never quite resonated with you, and you're looking for a place where people, impact and growth genuinely matter, let's talk.
