Data Analyst/Engineer Apply / Hae tehtävää Data Analyst/Engineer Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development (Aalto EE) is now looking for a Data Analyst/Engineer to join the AI and Digitalization team in the Espoo Office! We are building the data foundation for Aalto EE's AI and digital transformation. We are looking for a hands-on data professional who wants to be at the center of this shift. You will work across the organization to turn data into decisions, shape our reporting architecture, and modernize our data platforms. You will also be operationally responsible for Executive Education ranking processes and support the business management in analytical reporting needs. Main responsibilities • Support and development of internal reporting, including reporting architecture and templates, user support, training and documentation • Technical main user role in our reporting systems including development and maintenance of analytics solutions, data platforms in cloud environment and coordinating work with technical partners (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense) • Project management and data mining related to Executive Education rankings, such as Financial Times rankings • Support the development of other core business systems and related data integrations as needed (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Rest API etc.) • Agile analytical support for internal stakeholders and decision-making, including financial, operational and management reporting We are looking for a candidate with • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in the field, such as information systems, information technology, industrial engineering, accounting or equivalent • 3+ years of relevant work experience • Solid understanding data models in the Business Intelligence context • Excellent Excel skills including use of pivot tables and data queries • Familiarity with Power BI and data platforms, creating and maintaining data models and visualizing data • Self-directed analytical, methodical and prompt working style • Strong teamwork skills • Good communication skills in English We appreciate • Understanding and experience of data analytics especially in the areas of finance, accounting, sales and marketing • Experience in cloud architecture and data platforms • Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using Python and SQL • Ability to conduct statistical analyses and interpret quantitative data using Python or R • Experience in data preparation and pipeline work in support of AI use cases • Experience in education or education technology industry We are looking for a highly motivated person who can learn quickly and work independently in a collaborative way.
