EXL is seeking a dynamic, growth-centric Data & AI Sales Consultant to join our Data & Analytics practice. This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on driving new sales engagements across Insurance and Healthcare domains. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. Key Responsibilities Sales Origination & Pipeline Growth: Partner with Sales, Industry Market Units, and Account teams to originate, qualify, and develop net-new data-led opportunities across Insurance and Healthcare verticals. Drive pipeline growth through proactive outreach, thought leadership, and executive engagement. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the connective tissue between Delivery, Domain, and GTM teams. Work closely with Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Analytics delivery units to shape solutions that are technically credible and commercially compelling. Client Engagement & Solutioning: Lead and support client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and executive presentations. Translate complex client challenges into clear, differentiated value propositions. RFP / RFI & Proposal Management: Own or support end-to-end RFP/RFI responses, proposal development, and SOW/pricing solutioning. Build and maintain a library of reusable collateral, case studies, and demo assets tailored to Insurance and Healthcare buyers. Domain-Specific Use Case Development: Develop compelling, industry-specific use cases and points-of-view across Claims, Underwriting, Policy, Pricing, Actuarial, Risk (Insurance), and Care Management, Utilization, and Operations (Healthcare). AI & Platform-Led Narratives: Position EXL's capabilities in AI/GenAI, cloud-led data modernization (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Azure), and data governance as integrated solutions aligned to client transformation priorities. Stakeholder Influence: Engage CDOs, Data Office leaders, VP/SVP-level business stakeholders, and technology decision-makers to understand their data strategy and position EXL as a strategic transformation partner. Collateral & Enablement: Build and refresh sales collateral, pitch decks, battle cards, competitive differentiation materials, and solution one-pagers in collaboration with marketing and practice teams. Required Skills & Experience 12+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Consulting, or Technology — with a clear track record in sales, pre-sales, or business development roles. Strong domain expertise in P&C Insurance (Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, Policy, Pricing) and/or Healthcare (Payer, Provider, or Health Services operations). Demonstrated experience in cloud-led data platform sales or solutioning across Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or Azure. Hands-on experience developing AI/GenAI use cases for enterprise clients — from initial pitch through proof of concept framing. Proven ability to respond to and lead RFP/RFI engagements, write proposals, and structure commercial solutions. Executive presence and strong consultative storytelling — ability to engage C-suite and VP-level stakeholders with confidence. Comfortable working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment with delivery teams, industry market units, and sales leadership. Travel-ready with availability to cover key client markets: Atlanta, Jersey City / New York City, and Charlotte. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience at a data consulting, analytics, or IT services firm (e.g. EXL, Cognizant, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini) in a sales or pre-sales capacity. Active relationships with CDO, Data Office, or Data & Analytics leadership at Tier 1 or Tier 2 P&C or Health Insurance carriers. Experience building reusable sales accelerators, demo environments, or industry-specific POC frameworks. Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, or Data Mesh as enterprise sales levers. Understanding of the broader data modernization landscape including Data Vault, medallion architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native ingestion. MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative, business is a plus.
