Job Summary Milliman is undertaking a major business transformation program to replace and modernize our HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services Automation systems. As part of the Data Enablement Team, we are seeking a Data & Application Integration Engineer to support the integrity, quality, and migration of data throughout this transformation. This role will work alongside senior engineers and business/technical teams, contributing to data mapping, migration, validation, and integration activities to enable a smooth transition to new enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities Support the design, development, and implementation of application integrations under the guidance of senior team members. Assist with A2A (application-to-application) integrations, including cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on-premise, and on-premise-to-on-premise scenarios. Help migrate legacy integration processes into a centralized, standardized platform. Assist in gathering and documenting reference data sources, supporting strategies for managing reference and master data (MDM). Build data integration pipelines using modern data engineering tools and practices, with support from senior engineers. Develop and maintain data workflows, and help automate recurring processes. Build data processing solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Boomi, Snaplogic, Workato, or similar tools. Follow established data governance, data privacy, and security standards. Support CI/CD pipelines for integration and deployment of data solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in application integration, data engineering, or systems engineering. Exposure to data/application integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Boomi, Snaplogic, Workato, or similar. Working proficiency with SQL and Python, and experience with relational databases. Foundational experience with data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and ETL processes. Basic familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools. Good analytical skills with the ability to help translate business requirements into technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with willingness to collaborate across business and technical teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment, with a comfort level asking questions, seeking guidance, and learning quickly as part of a larger transformation team. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Azure Fabric or other cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Some exposure to HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems. Familiarity with data governance or master data management (MDM) concepts. Interest in or coursework related to insurance, risk management, or financial services. Awareness of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
