Overview Location: Noida Experience: 10+ Years About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the assessment, design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms, with a strong focus on Snowflake . The ideal candidate will combine strong architecture expertise with hands-on technical knowledge and excellent client-facing skills. You will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to define target-state architectures, develop modernization roadmaps, and guide implementation. This role is ideal for someone who can translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, governed, cost-efficient, and AI-ready data solutions. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, assessment, and modernization of enterprise Snowflake data platforms. Define current-state and target-state architectures covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, governance, security, and consumption. Assess existing Python, SQL, and stored-procedure-based data pipelines and identify opportunities for modernization. Analyze Snowflake usage, performance, and cost metrics to establish optimization strategies. Identify and address data engineering and architectural challenges such as inefficient processing, unnecessary full refreshes, warehouse sizing, redundant transformations, and workload isolation. Design and implement modern data processing patterns using Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks, Snowpark, dbt , and appropriate orchestration technologies. Design scalable data models, governed data domains, semantic layers, and context models supporting analytics and AI use cases. Architect solutions using Snowflake Cortex , including Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Cortex LLM capabilities. Establish standards for data security, access control, governance, lineage, observability, performance, resilience, and business continuity. Design cloud-native, lakehouse, batch, and real-time data architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP . Evaluate and recommend Snowflake Iceberg Tables and other open data architecture patterns. Develop prioritized optimization backlogs and implementation roadmaps based on business impact, technical risk, cost, performance, and effort. Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and guide engineering, analytics, QA, and DevOps teams. Lead client discovery workshops and technical discussions with stakeholders and subject-matter experts. Present architecture decisions, assessment findings, business impact, and roadmap recommendations to technical and executive audiences. Maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, decision records, and platform standards. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or a comparable senior technical role. 2–4 years of strong hands-on Snowflake architecture and implementation experience. Proven experience designing and modernizing enterprise-scale Snowflake data platforms. Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, security, governance, data modeling, workload management, performance, and cost optimization. Hands-on experience with Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks, stored procedures, and Snowflake system usage views . Expert-level SQL and strong Python skills. Strong experience with dbt and data pipeline/orchestration technologies such as Fivetran, Kafka, Airflow , or similar platforms. Experience designing batch, streaming, lakehouse, and cloud-native data architectures. Strong understanding of data governance, access control, lineage, data quality, and metadata management. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP . Proven experience leading discovery, assessment, architecture, and modernization initiatives. Experience providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary Agile teams. Excellent client-facing, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex , including Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, or Cortex LLM functions. Experience building semantic or context layers for AI/LLM applications . Experience with Snowflake Iceberg Tables and open lakehouse architectures. Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. Experience with FinOps, cloud cost governance, and Snowflake consumption optimization. Experience designing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. SnowPro Advanced: Architect or SnowPro Core certification. Consulting or enterprise client-delivery experience. Experience acting as a Technical Delivery Lead or Scrum Master when required. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and architecture tools such as Lucidchart .
