Description IT’S MORE THAN A JOB. IT’S A CALLING. At Family Care Center, we are on a mission to transform lives by elevating behavioral health care. Our journey began in 2016 when two U.S. Army Veterans founded Family Care Center to help service members, Veterans and their families. We continue that tradition today, caring for people of all ages across a broad range of conditions with nearly 30 outpatient clinics in communities across Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Tennessee and Texas. If you'd like to work for one of the nation's fastest-growing behavioral health providers, collaborating with other committed team members and making a positive impact on your community, we look forward to hearing from you. Transforming lives is our life’s work. CARING & SUPPORTIVE CULTURE: We support you so you can support our patients. Our positive environment is complemented by an engaging wellness program, volunteer events, team activities and more. UNPARALLELED GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES: We offer clear paths for career advancement at every level, fostering your professional development and personal growth. BALANCED LIFESTYLE: Achieve professional fulfillment while nurturing a healthy work-life balance, free from weekend or evening hours. We understand the importance of both professional fulfillment and personal well-being. COLLABORATIVE TEAM: Join forces with a diverse team of top-notch behavioral health professionals, support staff and empowering leadership. Together, we work towards transforming the lives of our patients. IMPRESSIVE RETENTION RATES: Our compassionate, welcoming approach has helped us earn a higher-than-average provider retention rate of 88%. COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS: We prioritize your overall well-being and financial security. Enjoy a full suite of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, fertility, retirement, wellness, profit sharing and more. Annual compensation: $ 170 ,000.00 - $ 1 80 ,000.0 0 depending on experience. Position Overview: The Data Architect serves as the senior technical authority for Family Care Center's enterprise data platform, owning the architecture of data ingestion, modeling, and delivery across clinical, operational, and financial domains. This role defines platform standards (pipeline design patterns, dimensional modeling conventions, CI/CD practices, and data quality framework) and leads their implementation in Python, Databricks, dbt , and Microsoft Azure. The Data Architect partners with the Business Intelligence and Clinical Systems teams to translate long-range analytics needs into a scalable platform roadmap and mentors data engineers and analysts on engineering practice. Essential Responsibilities: Owns the architecture of the enterprise data platform, defining ingestion, storage, transformation, and delivery patterns across clinical, operational, and financial data domains, and maintains a documented target-state architecture and roadmap. Designs and builds scalable data ingestion pipelines using Python and Databricks, integrating REST APIs, third-party feeds, and source systems, and establishes reusable frameworks that other engineers extend. Establishes and maintains dimensional modeling standards and transformation logic in dbt, ensuring consistent metric definitions, reliable lineage, and thorough documentation across the analytics environment. Designs, implements, and maintains CI/CD pipelines for the data platform, including Git-based version control workflows, automated testing, code review standards, environment promotion, and release management using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Applies infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices to provision and manage Microsoft Azure data resources, including compute, storage, and data services, ensuring environments are reproducible, secure, and cost-effective. Defines and enforces automated data quality and testing frameworks within dbt and the broader pipeline to validate outputs, detect anomalies, and prevent defects from reaching production reporting. Architects and maintains pipeline observability including monitoring, alerting, logging, and data freshness expectations, and leads root-cause analysis and remediation of production data incidents. Leads orchestration design across the data environment using workflow tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster, standardizing scheduling, dependency management, and failure handling. Serves as technical lead on data platform initiatives: scopes and sequences delivery, conducts code reviews, and mentors data engineers and Business Intelligence analysts on engineering standards and best practices. Partners with Business Intelligence, Clinical Systems, and business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into performant, well-governed data products. Establishes data governance, security, and access control practices for the analytics platform in alignment with HIPAA and Family Care Center privacy standards, including the handling of protected health information (PHI). Evaluates emerging platform capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning services, and leads proof-of-concept work to determine fit for the analytics environment. Other Duties : Preforms other related duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative field required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in analytics or a related data field required, with at least 6 years of dedicated data engineering experience. Experience serving as a technical lead or architect on enterprise data platform initiatives required. Experience working with healthcare or behavioral health data preferred. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) data structures preferred. Expert-level Python proficiency and advanced SQL skills required . Deep hands-on experience with Databricks and dbt required . Demonstrated expertise designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, including Git-based version control, automated testing, and environment promotion, using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions required . Experience with Microsoft Azure compute , storage, and data services required . Demonstrated ability to design and consume REST APIs for data ingestion required . Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster required . Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep preferred. Familiarity with additional data platforms including Snowflake, Redshift, or AWS Glue preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards required . Relevant Microsoft Azure certification preferred. Location: Remote Family Care Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need. #LI-WN1
