Role Description

The Data Architect – Finance is a full-time hybrid role based in Stockholm, with flexibility for part-time work from home.

This role is responsible for designing and maintaining the data architecture for financial and e-commerce domains, ensuring data structures support reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include defining data models, establishing data governance standards, collaborating with engineering teams on ETL and data warehousing solutions, and optimizing data flows across systems.

The Data Architect – Finance will work closely with stakeholders in finance, risk, and product teams to translate business needs into scalable data designs and support strategic decision-making.

The role also involves documenting data frameworks, guiding best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of the data platform.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, particularly in financial services and related domains.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Governance, including establishing policies, standards, and controls for data quality, security, and compliance.
• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing, including designing pipelines and optimizing data storage for analytics.
• Experience with relational and cloud-based databases, data integration tools, and BI/analytics platforms is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across finance, IT, and product teams in a hybrid work environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in banking, finance, or e-commerce data environments, including regulatory and risk data, is a significant advantage.
