About us
You know that rental bike you unlocked with your phone this morning? Or the tracker on your dog's collar that tells you he's two streets away, again? Neither of those works without a network connection. Onomondo is the layer that makes sure the data actually gets through.
We're the infrastructure behind the Internet of Things (IoT). Companies building connected products come to us for the connectivity that keeps their devices online, anywhere in the world, and for the platform where they manage, monitor, and troubleshoot it themselves.
Where we sit
We're somewhere between SaaS and telecom. We sell software, so we move fast, ship often, and care about the user experience. But we also operate inside telecommunications: which is more complex and technical than most software. Our customers are engineers, they ask hard questions and the relationship starts rather than ends at purchase.
That mix also makes us sticky. Most SaaS tools are nice to have. If our connectivity stops, our customers' products stop. That means our business grows as our customers and the industry grows. We've been growing fast and we don't plan to slow down, which is exactly why we need this role.
What the role is
We're looking for a Data & Automation Specialist who loves digging into data, and wants to use that foundation to make every team at Onomondo work smarter.
Your starting point is data. You'll work with complex, messy, multi-source data, from billing and revenue to product usage and commercial pipelines and turn it into analysis, dashboards and answers the business can act on. You'll partner with teams across the company (Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations) to understand what they need to know, and build the reporting that gets them there.
From that foundation, you'll look for where the data shows us time being lost, and fix it. That might be a script, an integration, a scheduled job, or an AI skill where that is the right approach. Getting there often means untangling messy data or a half-broken process first and you don't shy away from that groundwork when it's what the job actually needs.
AI is a real and growing part of the toolkit here. As you settle in, there's plenty of room to grow into that area. This includes our AI infrastructure and production agent stack, ready to be taken to the next level. Our vision is a backbone data warehouse with all data sources available so that our colleagues can self-service with trust through AI.
You'll report to our Data Analytics Manager, Jonathan, and be part of the Insights team.
What you'll do
Working with complex data across billing, revenue, product usage and commercial systems. Cleaning, modelling and making sense of it
Building dashboards and visualizations that teams actually use to make decisions. We currently use Tableau for most of our complex visualizations, but we foresee leaning into an in-house setup. Groundwork is already in place to allow for broader adoptions and flexibility
Running deeper analyses on the questions that matter, from revenue and billing trends to customer behavior and operational efficiency
Finding the manual, repetitive workflows that cost the company the most time, and automating them in whatever form actually fits
Building and maintaining integrations between the tools teams already use (Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Google Workspace, and others)
Authoring and iterating AI skills where they're the right tool, using Onomondo's existing skill framework
Growing into deeper AI/agent infrastructure work over time. Connectors, permissioning, production agents and moreNot all at once, of course. We'll start with what matters most, build it to scale, then keep going.
What we're looking for
Strong with data: comfortable with SQL, working in a data warehouse (we use BigQuery), and handling complex, imperfect datasets
Experienced in data visualization and analysis. You can turn a messy question into a clear chart and a clear answer
Comfortable writing code (Python or similar) to analyse, transform and automate
A fixer by instinct. You notice friction and want to remove it, without needing to be asked
Curious about AI, LLMs and agents, and keen to explore how they can make data and processes work better - even if that's not your primary experience yet
Comfortable navigating ambiguity: nobody will hand you a fully-scoped ticket, you'll often have to find the problem first
Communicates clearly and works well directly with non-technical stakeholders across teams
Nice to have, though not required: experience with Tableau or similar BI tools, billing or financial data, data modelling, workflow orchestration tools, exposure to LLMs/agents or MCP, or a general understanding of how SaaS businesses run (subscriptions, revenue metrics, GTM tooling, and the cross-team workflows common at software companies).
Applying
Your application doesn't need to be polished and you don't need to check all the boxes, to apply.
Tell us what you built, what you were trying to move, and what happened.
Life at Onomondo
The things we build have global reach. The way we build them is personal. We're a team of engineers, operators, and commercial minds in Copenhagen who debate passionately about technical or GTM approaches and then go for a run together. Or padel. Or a beer. Or a boardgame night. People here stay curious, speak up when something feels off, and bring energy whether it's a product launch sprint or a Friday bar.
Practically speaking, that looks like: paid health insurance, catered cooked-on-site lunch every day, an in-office gym with workouts (HIIT of yoga) three times a week during work hours (we're serious about this), quarterly Friday bars, an espresso machine, a full snack and drink-bar and a pretty impressive breakfast setup.
