- Proven ability to query and interpret ambulatory EMR/EHR schemas (NextGen, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, Athena, etc.)
- Query optimization experience with Autonomous Data Warehouse, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or OCI)
- Experience building metadata-driven pipelines with data lineage, auditability, and governance
- Experience with Airflow (or similar), Git, CI/CD, Terraform, and DataOps workflows
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and meet regulatory timeframes
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Experience with CMS eCQMs, MIPS/MACRA, ACO measures, or quality reporting
- Familiarity with SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, CPT/HCPCS, and ICD-10
- Delta Lake / Lakehouse experience
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, parse, and validate patient data from HL7, CCDA, and FHIR sources; troubleshoot malformed messages and resolve data gaps with vendors
- Query EMR databases and translate CMS MIPS measure specifications into SQL logic
- Build scalable, metadata-driven ingestion pipelines with data quality checks, reconciliation, and lineage
- Support MIPS Advisors with numerator/denominator data and produce audit-ready, reproducible calculations for CMS submission
- Maintain engineering standards, documentation, and peer review practices aligned with security and architecture baselines
- Collaborate with Value-Based Care Advisors, client IT teams, EMR vendors, and Security & Compliance, translating technical issues into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders
