Data Center & Infrastructure Architect

We are looking for a Data Center & Infrastructure Architect for a banking client in Amsterdam. You will lead the concept design for a new European Cyber Recovery Data Center, helping strengthen IT resilience and recovery capabilities against cyberattacks and major disruptions.

Your Job

• Develop the high-level architecture and concept design for the new data center.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and architecture solutions.
• Define recovery strategies covering backup, storage, replication, and failover.
• Evaluate solution options, risks, and costs.
• Work with infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, and risk teams to align the design with business and regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

• 7–10 years of experience in technical or infrastructure architecture.
• Strong experience with enterprise data centers and disaster recovery environments.
• Knowledge of cyber recovery, immutable backups, air-gapped environments, and ransomware recovery.
• Experience in banking or other regulated industries.
• Understanding of DORA, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and NIST.
• Strong stakeholder management and architectural documentation skills.
• TOGAF, CDCDP, CISSP, VMware, and AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
