Role Description The Data Cloud DevOps Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and data platforms that support Rockland Tech Hub’s digital solutions. This role involves developing and managing infrastructure as code, setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reliable deployment and operation of cloud-native applications and data services. Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting infrastructure and deployment issues, automating routine operational processes, and collaborating with software developers, data engineers, and system administrators to improve reliability and scalability. The engineer will also focus on security best practices, configuration management, and documentation to ensure stable, compliant, and maintainable environments across multiple projects.
Qualifications

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in Software Development with at least one modern programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash) for automation and tooling.
• Hands-on Continuous Integration and deployment experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Solid System Administration background with expertise in Linux-based environments, including monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed data services (databases, data warehouses, data lakes) is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with security, networking, and compliance best practices in cloud and DevOps workflows.
• Ability to work independently in remote settings, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
