About The Role
As an Associate Technical Architect - Data at Quantiphi, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on AWS. You will lead the technical architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. Your expertise will guide the development of enterprise-scale Lakehouse solutions and Data Lakes, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep hands-on experience in AWS data engineering technologies, capable of mentoring teams and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from architecture design and technology selection to deployment, optimization, and ongoing support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise data solutions on AWS. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional, or AWS Data Engineer Associate are preferred. A strong background in SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Python is essential, along with extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, EMR, Athena, Glue, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, and related data services. Proven ability to lead end-to-end implementations of cloud-native data platforms, along with experience in designing scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring engineering teams and conducting architecture reviews. Knowledge of data modeling, distributed processing, and Lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise data platforms on AWS, ensuring they meet scalability, security, and performance standards. You will architect Lakehouse solutions utilizing Apache Iceberg and design scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming data processing. Your responsibilities include evaluating and selecting appropriate AWS services, defining cloud architecture best practices, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. You will oversee the development and deployment of data workflows using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions. Mentoring engineering teams, conducting code and architecture reviews, and promoting engineering best practices will be integral to your role. Additionally, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, optimize data processing performance, and manage cost efficiencies. You will also be involved in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing data platforms to support evolving business needs.
