seeking a Systems Analyst 3 / Data Engineer with strong enterprise data integration and ETL experience. The ideal candidate will design, develop, maintain, and support data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, Snowflake, and Informatica Cloud Data Integration.

The role will involve gathering data requirements, developing ETL workflows, integrating data from multiple source systems, performing source-to-target mapping, troubleshooting production pipelines, and supporting data quality and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise data integration solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows, including mappings, sessions, workflows, and reusable transformations.
  • Integrate data from heterogeneous sources such as flat files, APIs, relational databases, and mainframe extracts into Oracle.
  • Develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, including stored procedures and packages.
  • Work with Snowflake for data loading, schema design, and query performance optimization.
  • Develop cloud-based ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica Cloud Data Integration.
  • Gather business/data requirements and perform source-to-target mapping.
  • Document data flows and technical/design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues, ETL job failures, and production performance bottlenecks.
  • Support batch data loads using scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, or Informatica Scheduler.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders within a structured SDLC environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer/Systems Analyst designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Informatica PowerCenter ETL development.
  • 8+ years integrating heterogeneous source systems into Oracle databases.
  • 8+ years of strong Oracle SQL/PL-SQL experience.
  • 8+ years of Snowflake experience.
  • 8+ years with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud Data Integration.
  • 8+ years gathering data requirements, source-to-target mapping, and data-flow documentation.
  • 8+ years troubleshooting production ETL pipelines, data quality issues, job failures, and performance bottlenecks.
  • 8+ years using batch scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, or Informatica Scheduler.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SAP BusinessObjects Universe design and/or maintenance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in state government or large enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience working with formal SDLC and change-management processes.

Work Location & Other Details

  • Primary location: Austin, TX 78751.
  • Hybrid schedule currently requires 3 onsite days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 remote days; schedule may change based on the hiring team's needs.
  • Candidates must already reside in Texas and be within 50 miles of Austin; relocation candidates from out of state should not be submitted.
  • HHSC may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work with prior approval.
  • Microsoft Teams will be used for interviews.

Contract Details

  • Start: Around October 20, 2026
  • End: August 31, 2027
  • Maximum: 2,008 hours
  • Renewal: Up to three additional one-year renewals at HHSC's discretion.
