About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will take ownership of developing and scaling data solutions utilizing Databricks on AWS. This is a hands-on individual contributor position that offers significant influence over the architecture and implementation of data pipelines and systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing end-to-end data pipelines, working with large datasets, and implementing best practices in data engineering. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, analytics, and engineering to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. About The Role

Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
- Proven hands-on experience with Python, SQL (advanced level), PySpark, and Databricks in production environments
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and infrastructure for data processing
- Experience designing and building comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks and data modeling principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote, cross-functional team
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and AWS services
- Work with large and complex datasets in production environments to ensure data integrity and performance
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code and advanced SQL queries
- Build new data pipelines from scratch, as well as optimize existing ones for performance and cost efficiency
- Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability, and security across all data solutions
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and promote best practices in data engineering
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of data insights
