# DATA ENGINEER

## About the Role

VisionBI is looking for a **Data Engineer** to build modern, innovative, state-of-the-art data solutions for customers within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will work with the latest Azure services and technologies to design and implement data solutions across data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses.

You will collaborate closely with customers and multidisciplinary Scrum teams to identify the right technical solutions. The role combines hands-on development, automation, research, and technical advisory work, with a strong focus on CI/CD-driven data pipelines using Azure and/or Snowflake technologies. You will also have opportunities to contribute to dashboarding, user experience, design patterns, and the continued development of your technical expertise.

## Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and implement modern data solutions for VisionBI customers.

* Develop data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses.

* Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD-driven data pipelines.

* Research and apply relevant, innovative Azure and Snowflake technologies.

* Work closely with customers to determine effective technical solutions.

* Work within customer Scrum teams and participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily standups.

* Develop and implement data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure services.

* Work with data processing, storage, and analytics technologies across different environments.

* Apply design patterns and provide technical advice across different technologies.

* Identify connections between data environments and technologies.

* Collaborate with other Data Engineers, BI specialists, and AI Engineers.

* Contribute to high-quality reporting and analytics environments.

* Stay current with developments in the Data Engineering and broader data technology landscape.

* Share technical knowledge and contribute to the team's professional development.

* Contribute to dashboarding and user experience where relevant.

## Required Qualifications

* Completed **HBO or WO degree in a technical field**.

* More than **2 years of relevant work experience**.

* Strong analytical skills.

* Good understanding of your own technical capabilities and development areas.

* Passion for both **data and people**.

* Pragmatic approach combined with a strong focus on quality.

* Excellent social and communication skills.

* Good command of **Dutch — required**.

* Good command of English.

* Experience working in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment.

* Technical experience with relevant data engineering technologies.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with dashboarding and **user experience (UX)**.

* Additional knowledge of related data technologies beyond those specifically listed.
