About The Role
As a Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Python, and SQL, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-based data solutions that empower enterprise data integration, transformation, and analytics. You will be an integral member of our Data Engineering team, working closely with architects, business stakeholders, application teams, and platform engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality data pipelines. Your work will directly impact our ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, Python, and SQL. You will build and optimize ELT/ETL processes to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics initiatives. Developing and supporting Snowflake objects such as Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and COPY INTO commands will be key to ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing data pipelines for optimal performance, reliability, and data quality will be part of your daily activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to support CI/CD practices, code deployments, and Agile delivery methodologies. This position offers flexibility with a remote work model, supporting a healthy work-life balance through various wellbeing programs, and is open to qualified applicants in Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python, and SQL
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting ADF components including Flow Control Logic, Lookups, Copy Activities, Data Flows, Child Pipeline Execution, Script Activities, and Batch Service Calls
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture and objects, including Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and COPY INTO commands
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience with enterprise Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT frameworks, and modern cloud data platforms
- Experience implementing CI/CD practices and deployment processes using Azure DevOps
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex data pipeline issues
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Python, and SQL
- Build and optimize ELT/ETL processes to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives
- Develop and support Snowflake objects including Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and COPY INTO commands for efficient data ingestion and transformation
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines to ensure high performance, reliability, and data quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD implementation, code deployments, and Agile practices
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to promote best practices
- Stay updated with the latest cloud data engineering trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions
