Data Engineer (*all humans)

Location: Hybrid (up to 80% remote work possible) | Occasional on-site meetings in Budapest

Workload: Full-time

Further development of modern financing solutions in the private customer sector for an international client. Work in an agile team with a focus on data pipelines and distributed systems.

Your Tasks

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines with a focus on Databricks and Python
• Develop and maintain streaming and real-time data solutions using technologies such as Azure Event Hub, Kafka, Apache Druid, and Apache Storm
• Build and enhance scalable solutions on cloud-based data platforms, ideally within Microsoft Azure
• Analyze existing solutions and support their further development and modernization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
• Contribute to efficient delivery processes by applying CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps practice.
• Willingness to travel for occasional in-person meetings required

Your Profile

• Strong professional experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Databricks and Python
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hub and Kafka
• Practical knowledge of real-time technologies such as Apache Druid and Apache Storm
• Experience in the development and migration of data pipelines
• Very good knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge in: Java, web analytics, CI/CD, DevOps and DataOps is an advantage
• Englisch C1, Knowledge in German is beneficial
