About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer II to join our Data Platform Engineering Organization. This remote role is available only in North Carolina, Arizona, Florida, and Texas. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based data solutions that empower analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization. As part of our growing Cloud Data & AI Platform team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to modernize enterprise data platforms and deliver innovative data products. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with modern technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL, contributing to the bank’s data and AI transformation journey. The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced in cloud data platforms, data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and modern data engineering practices, with a passion for building reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions that support critical business initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and integrations.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, and Spark or similar solutions.
- Hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools including dbt, Apache Airflow, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse design, dimensional modeling, and data integration best practices.
- Knowledge of data quality, validation, and testing methodologies to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and operational support for data solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate, SnowPro Core, or similar are preferred.
- Design, build, and support scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions utilizing AWS services, Snowflake, dbt, Python, and SQL.
- Implement data warehouse solutions, including dimensional data models and ETL/ELT processes to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs.
- Develop and maintain data validation tests, quality controls, and monitoring procedures to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Support workflow orchestration, including scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis using tools such as Airflow and cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with business users, product teams, analysts, and technology partners to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Follow established engineering standards, documentation practices, and testing procedures to ensure high-quality and maintainable solutions.
- Participate in deployment activities, environment promotion, operational support, and performance optimization using CI/CD methodologies.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and delivery timelines.
