Data Engineer (SAP)

Data Engineer – 12-Month FTC – Remote

We are recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale data and analytics programme. You will develop the data structures, pipelines and processes required to deliver reliable and reusable datasets for reporting and analysis.

This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

What you will be doing:

• Design and maintain scalable data models and reusable datasets
• Build automated ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple source systems
• Integrate new data sources into the existing data landscape
• Monitor pipelines and resolve data-quality issues
• Implement data validation and reconciliation processes
• Translate reporting requirements into practical data solutions
• Maintain documentation covering data structures, transformations and lineage
• Improve automation, reliability and efficiency across data processes

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Data Engineering experience
• Advanced SQL and data-modelling skills
• Experience with ETL/ELT and analytical databases
• Experience integrating multiple data sources
• Good understanding of data quality and governance
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

Experience with SAP, SAP Business Data Cloud, BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, Python or cloud data platforms would be advantageous.
