Data Engineer / Sr. Data Engineer - Argentina

You run the pipelines behind an R&D analytics environment at a global science & technology leader, and you do not stop at clean data: modeling, forecasting and analyses are your declared second focus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and run ETL pipelines feeding R&D analytics: deliberately pragmatic, the complexity lives in the questions, not the stack
• Any framework: PySpark, Polars, dbt, SQL. The craft matters, not the tool
• Own data quality, structure and documentation across changing domains
• Git and Docker daily; DuckDB and FastAPI in the stack

YOUR SECOND FOCUS: APPLIED DATA SCIENCE

• Step into prototypes, forecasting and analyses, supported by the client's data-science lead
• Build visualisations and data apps (Streamlit or similar)
• Work directly with business stakeholders: understand the question behind the data request
• Use AI tools daily, with the fundamentals to judge their output

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years hands-on experience, 10+ for the Sr. title
• Strong Python and real pipeline delivery in production
• Demonstrated data-science interest: first models, forecasts or analyses. Courses and side projects count
• Fluent English. You work with US stakeholders daily
• Based in Argentina, with regular live overlap with US West Coast mornings (approx. 12:00–16:00 ART)
