Our engineers are vital to the innovation and digitalization of BMW Group products, production, sales, and banking processes. What awaits you Collaborate with the team to evaluate and implement cloud-based data architecture solutions, especially within the Cloud Data Hub (CDH) ecosystem Develop and maintain medium- to high-complexity data transformations using Python on AWS, and contribute to infrastructure provisioning and automation with Terraform Design and implement SQL-based data transformations and data models Contribute to the implementation of a self-service reporting portal to enhance production data analysis and reporting capabilities Troubleshoot and optimize data-processing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability Contribute to data quality monitoring and alerting mechanisms Participate in code reviews and actively share knowledge within the team Provide technical documentation and support for business stakeholders What should you bring along University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field Minimum 3 years of professional experience, with proven experience in data integration, data engineering, data analysis, or a comparable technical role Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Terraform Practical experience with AWS data engineering services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, ECR, EC2) and Cloud Data Hub (CDH) platform (consuming and providing data) Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB, with good understanding of data modeling and profiling (relational and dimensional models) Enforce engineering best practices within the team, promoting code quality, testing, and efficient development workflows, CI/CD improvements on AWS cloud Basic / medium knowledge on Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes Experience working in an international agile organization (Jira/Confluence) Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed Flexibility to adapt to new tools, technologies, and changing business requirements Nice to have: Amazon infrastructure capabilities, CDEC Blueprints, reporting / dashboarding skills Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with both technical and non-technical audiences Knowledge of German is an advantage What do we offer?
