Data Engineering Team Lead | Databricks, Python

We’re looking for a Data Engineering Team Lead to join a product team working on a large-scale, white label online gaming platform used by multiple B2B clients.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining team management with Data Engineering.

What you’ll be working with:

• Databricks (Unity Catalog, Clusters, Jobs management)

• Python (OOP)

• SQL (for UC in Databricks, PostgreSQL)

• Data pipelines (in Databricks)

• Data platform migrations and modernization

• AI-assisted development tools (Antigravity and GitHub Copilot)

A key focus of the role will be supporting the migration of existing data solutions from older versions to a newer, more scalable setup, while also leading and mentoring the Data Engineering team.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong Data Engineering experience

• Previous Team Lead / people management experience

• Hands-on Databricks knowledge

• Strong Python and SQL skills

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines

• Experience with migrations, upgrades, or data platform modernization

• A good balance between technical depth, ownership, and people leadership

Nice to have:

• Databricks Genie / AI/BI experience

• Recommendation systems or personalization

• Experience with high-volume or multi-tenant platforms

Working model:

• Remote (Romania based only)

• B2B / working contract
