OB Hospitalist Group is seeking a Data Engineer / Solutions Architect II to design scalable data pipelines, strengthen enterprise data architecture, and connect systems, applications, and analytics across the organization. This hands-on remote role blends data engineering with solution architecture and is ideal for a technical professional who can move confidently between SQL development, ETL/ELT implementation, cloud data platforms, integration design, and enterprise-level technical strategy.
You will partner closely with the Director of Organizational Performance & Analytics and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure healthcare data is secure, reliable, well governed, and readily available for reporting, business intelligence, and operational decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate data from databases, APIs, flat files, and enterprise applications.
- Develop and optimize data models, data warehouses, and Microsoft SQL Server environments for analytics and business intelligence.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve data quality, integrity, availability, and reliability.
- Automate data workflows to reduce manual processing and create repeatable, efficient solutions.
- Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards; proficiency in Strategy is required.
- Evaluate cloud platforms, integration patterns, tools, and technologies across AWS, Azure, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and GCP environments.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution documentation.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to support HIPAA requirements and strong data governance.
- Serve as a technical advisor on cross-functional initiatives involving data, integrations, applications, and system design.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, solutions architecture, Strategy, or a combination of these disciplines.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, Python or a similar programming language, ETL/ELT tools, data warehousing, API integration, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs and communicate effectively with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and organizational leaders.
Preferred Experience
