In this role, you will help define and execute data strategies, establish governance frameworks, manage enterprise data assets, and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple public-sector projects. The position offers a high degree of autonomy and requires a professional capable of translating business goals into effective data management, governance, and analytics practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify data-related requirements and opportunities. Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements. Design and optimize data management processes, data models, and storage solutions. Oversee data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and quality monitoring. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Support the implementation of modern data platforms, databases, and data pipelines. Provide expert guidance on data lifecycle management and best practices. Required Qualifications Master's degree in science 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Data Strategy or Data Governance or Data Management Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks. Strong understanding of data quality management and data lifecycle processes. Experience working with large-scale datasets and modern data platforms. Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and leadership teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluent German communication skills (minimum B2 level). Nice to Have Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments. Knowledge of data architecture and data warehousing concepts. Experience with analytics, reporting, or machine learning initiatives. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). What’s in it for you?
