About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and intellectually curious Data Insights Analyst to turn operational and business data into actionable insights.

We already have extensive dashboards, reports, and datasets available. This is not primarily a report-building position. Your responsibility will be to investigate existing data, identify patterns, uncover root causes, and provide recommendations that help leadership make better decisions.

We are particularly interested in candidates experienced with Amazon QuickSight, Google BigQuery, SQL, and AI-assisted analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing dashboards and large datasets using QuickSight, BigQuery, SQL, and other analytical tools.
• Slice and segment data to identify trends, anomalies, correlations, and performance drivers.
• Investigate KPI changes and perform root-cause analysis.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate data exploration, generate hypotheses, and uncover opportunities.
• Validate AI-generated insights using statistical reasoning and underlying data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Proactively investigate questions and opportunities beyond those specifically requested by leadership.

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with Amazon QuickSight, Google BigQuery, or similar BI/cloud analytics platforms.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Practical experience using AI tools for data analysis and problem-solving.
• Strong statistical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently and present findings to nontechnical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with both Amazon QuickSight and Google BigQuery.
• Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with AWS analytics, automation, forecasting, or operational analytics.
• Previous experience analyzing e-commerce, sales, customer service, or operational performance.

What Success Looks Like

We don't need someone who simply reports that a KPI decreased by 8%.

We need someone who can investigate where the decline originated, identify the contributing factors, validate the findings, and recommend what the business should do next.

We are looking for someone who sees a dashboard as the beginning of an investigation, not the final result.
