We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Integrity Specialist to join our Human Resources Services team. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Reporting to the HR Services Operations Manager, this newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen the quality, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of employee data across our HR and payroll systems, including Workday and aPay. Working closely with HR Services, Payroll and Digital teams, you will monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, support system integrations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our people data environment. This role combines elements of data governance, business analysis, reconciliation, reporting, systems support, and stakeholder engagement. Key areas of focus include: Monitor, validate, and reconcile employee data across HR and payroll systems. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to support payroll accuracy and operational excellence. Identify root causes of data quality issues and implement sustainable solutions. Investigate and resolve integration failures, data mismatches, and processing issues. Deliver meaningful data quality reporting, dashboards and insights. Analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve data quality and process effectiveness. Partner with reporting and analytics teams to improve data structures and reporting capability. Develop and maintain data governance standards, definitions, and procedures. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, working 37.5 hours per week. The full salary range for this role is $87,000.00 - $118,000.00 We have a structured salary framework with three zones: Developing (building capability), Target (fully effective performance), and Upper (deep expertise and sustained contribution). Appointments are most typically made within the target range of $93,201.00 – $107,500.00, depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. For more detailed information about the role and requirements, please refer to the Position Description He kōrero mōu | About you You will be curious, analytical, and highly detail-focused with a natural ability to solve complex data problems and improve business processes in an evolving environment. Comfortable working independently, you enjoy getting stuck into challenges, asking questions, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex information where needed to problem solve. To be successful in this role, you will bring: At least 5 years' experience in data quality, reconciliation, audit, HR Systems, payroll systems or related analytical roles (WorkDay and aPay highly desirable). Experience investigating and resolving complex data issues across multiple systems. (repeated below)Experience working within large and complex organisations. Experience supporting system implementations, data migration, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives. Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI to build reports, dashboards and insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel skill Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
