Data Lead (Presales)

We are looking for a Data Lead to lead end-to-end data initiatives across Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Governance, and Data Quality, while also contributing to client-facing and presales activities.

You will lead technical teams, shape data solutions, work closely with enterprise clients, and help translate business challenges into scalable Data & AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
• Lead the design and delivery of scalable data platforms, pipelines, architectures, and analytics solutions.
• Define data architecture, modeling standards, governance practices, and technical roadmaps.
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Ensure project delivery meets quality, timeline, scope, and business objectives.
• Support client discovery, requirement gathering, solutioning, and technical discussions during presales.
• Contribute to technical proposals, solution designs, RFP/RFI responses, and project estimations.
• Present and explain proposed data solutions to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, AI, and Delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement of data quality, platform reliability, scalability, and team capabilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Quality, BI, or related fields.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and end-to-end data projects.
• Strong knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and modern data platforms.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with cloud/data platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data governance, and data quality.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and business-oriented manner.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing and consulting environment.
• Willing to contribute to presales and solutioning activities.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in Data/Technology Consulting or Presales.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, RFP/RFI, SoW, or project estimations.
• Experience presenting solutions to enterprise clients or C-level stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, or other modern data stack technologies.
• Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, MLOps, or AI-ready data platforms.
• Experience with Data Governance/Catalog tools such as OpenMetadata, Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
• Relevant cloud or data certifications.
