Data Management Nurse

Responsible for collecting and maintaining patient data required for NJ Cardiac Cath Lab Data Registry. Liaison with the State of NJ Dept of HHS and hospital Administration re: data submission. Informs administration of changes in requirements. Participates in various projects related to statistics, information management, Quality assurance in any of the related areas within the Division of Cardiology. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/ her assigned unit. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and one to two years of previous work related experience. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Required department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire. Requires analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational & interpersonal skills. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association
