Data Migration Consultant

Join XAPT’s Global Delivery team and own data migration on international ERP implementations. We use NAXT, our ERP solution for equipment dealers built on Microsoft Dynamics 365. You’ll move our customers’ legacy data into the new platform, using migration tooling and working closely with business users.

Your main responsibilities would be:

• Own the data migration workstream end to end: analyzing source data, mapping, transforming, validating, loading, reconciling and cutting over.
• Move customers from their legacy business systems onto the new ERP platform, covering master data (products, customers, vendors, assets) and open transactions and balances.
• Develop and run our in-house migration tooling, built in Python and Microsoft Fabric, for automated transformation, data-quality checks and scheduled migration runs.
• Write SQL and Python for data profiling, cleansing, transformation and reconciliation.
• Plan and run mock migrations, set the load sequence, tune performance on high-volume loads, and prepare cutover runbooks.
• Reconcile migrated financial and operational data against the legacy system.
• Run mapping and data-cleansing workshops with business users, and explain rejected records in business terms.
• Work with project teams, partners and vendors to resolve load and data-quality issues.
• Support go-live and early hypercare, then hand over to the support team.

What we expect from you

• Hands-on data migration experience on at least one completed project, with any system. ERP, CRM or another business application all count.
• Strong SQL or Python: profiling, transformation and reconciliation queries.
• An understanding of business data: master data, references between records, and data-quality issues.
• A structured way of working through migration iterations, testing and sign-off.
• Excellent English, spoken and written, and confidence working with business users.
• Willingness to travel for workshops and go-lives (up to 25%)
