Our client is an established international technology business currently scaling multiple digital platforms across the UK and Ireland. As part of an ambitious growth strategy, they are seeking a highly organised Data Operations Associate to own the integrity, quality and operational efficiency of their business data ecosystem.
This is a critical position where your work will directly influence product quality, search visibility and customer experience. Rather than software development, the role focuses on building and maintaining robust, repeatable data processes that ensure large datasets remain accurate, enriched and production-ready.
If you enjoy structured problem solving, data quality and creating efficient operational workflows, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact within a fast-moving remote-first organisation.
The Role
As the Data Operations Associate, you will take ownership of the complete data lifecycle from data acquisition through cleansing, enrichment, validation and deployment.
Working closely with technical stakeholders, you will ensure data pipelines remain reliable while continuously improving quality assurance processes and maintaining detailed operational documentation.
This position suits someone who enjoys process-driven work, has exceptional attention to detail and can work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

- Clean, standardise and prepare raw CSV data for production.
- Validate data formats, remove duplicate records and ensure consistency across datasets.
- Maintain comprehensive import logs and audit trails.
Data Matching & Deduplication
- Match new records against existing databases using exact and fuzzy matching techniques.
- Identify duplicate or conflicting records and resolve data discrepancies.
- Investigate edge cases including relocated businesses, renamed entities and address changes.
- Maintain documented decision logs for manual data reviews.
Data Enrichment
- Enhance records using publicly available business information.
- Update website URLs, operating hours and social media profiles.
- Retrieve and validate information through third-party APIs.
- Flag incomplete or unverifiable records for further review.
Quality Assurance

- Perform random sampling to verify data accuracy.
- Monitor trends in record counts and identify anomalies.
- Validate successful deployment following system updates.
- Produce QA reports and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Ongoing Database Maintenance
- Manage scheduled refresh cycles across multiple datasets.
- Track refresh dates, record volumes and QA status.
- Identify inactive or closed businesses for archival review.
- Maintain historical records to support future auditing and recovery.
