Job Summary

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with a team to develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• May work with a team to develop specifications and performance requirements.
• May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

• 3–10 years of directly related experience and B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results with little direction/oversight.
• Experience working with and cleaning survey data.
• Experience working in Advana.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and optimizing data pipelines and automation efforts.
• Experience developing and implementing data pipelines, utilizing ETL platforms and languages such as Databricks, Python, and/or R.
• High-level proficiency and work experience in R and/or SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and transformation tasks.
• At least three years of experience as a Data Engineer.
