Job Title: Data Support Engineer (Test Data Management & Healthcare Data)

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Support Engineer with expertise in Test Data Management (TDM), Synthetic Data Creation, SQL, and Healthcare Data Processing. The ideal candidate will support test data requests, create and maintain test datasets, troubleshoot data issues, and manage healthcare data assets used across QA, UAT, and development environments. Experience with healthcare EDI transactions such as 837 Claims and 834 Membership/Enrollment files is required.

Key Responsibilities

· Support data-related requests for development, QA, UAT, and production support teams.

· Create, refresh, subset, mask, and validate test data across multiple environments.

· Design and generate synthetic test data for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

· Analyze and process healthcare EDI files, including 837 Claims and 834 Membership/Enrollment transactions.

· Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

· Collaborate with business, QA, and development teams to understand and fulfill test data requirements.

· Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity across environments.

· Investigate and resolve data issues related to claims, membership, provider, and encounter data.

· Maintain documentation for TDM processes, data refresh procedures, and support activities.

· Support automation initiatives to improve test data provisioning and management processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in Data Support, Test Data Management, or Data Engineering roles.

· Strong knowledge of Test Data Management (TDM) concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

· Hands-on experience creating and managing synthetic test data.

· Strong SQL skills, including data analysis, validation, and performance tuning.

· Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy practices.

· Experience with data masking, subsetting, and test data validation techniques.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Talend, Databricks, or other ETL/data integration platforms.

· Experience supporting large-scale healthcare testing and modernization initiatives.

· Familiarity with Python, Excel, and data automation tools.

· Understanding of encounter processing, payment integrity, and healthcare data warehousing concepts.
