Your Role in Supporting Our Members: We’re seeking an intern to join our team for an four-month opportunity, supporting the development and operation of Vancity’s data platform. The team plays a key role in enabling reliable data pipelines, maintaining data infrastructure, and supporting scalable data solutions used across analytics and business functions. This is a Full-time, Temporary role, reporting to a manager within the data engineering and offers hands-on experience working with modern data tools such as Databricks and cloud technologies on Microsoft Azure in a collaborative, data-driven environment. This opportunity will run from September to December. How You'll Make an Impact: Supporting data platform operations by assisting with data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline monitoring across multiple sources Using tools such as SQL, Python, and platforms like Databricks to process, validate, and troubleshoot data workflows Assisting in building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data movement Collaborating with data engineers and analytics teams while creating documentation and supporting debugging of data pipeline issues What You’ll Bring to the Team: Customer-Centric - You define and measure success through the eyes of your internal customers and anticipate, understand, and respond to their evolving needs. You have: Current enrollment in an undergraduate program within an applicable field and eligible for co-op/internship opportunities An interest in data analysis, analytics and financial services A willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities.
