Job Title: IT Support Specialist - Master-Level Internship Level: Master’s Level Internship Department: IT and Security Duration: 520 Hours (approximately 3 months) Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto) Compensation: Hourly ($32) The Vosyn internship is unique. Remuneration is equivalent to $32.00 CAD per hour payable in common shares of the Corporation at the then fair market value. For greater clarity, NO cash in-hand (in hourly rate or salary) will be paid to the Intern. Instead, Vosyn being an AI start-up, the upside is in potential future value of said shares based on the hours worked, billed and approved. About the Role: As an IT Support Specialist , you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s IT infrastructure by providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role requires a problem-solving professional who can address IT challenges, support end-users, and ensure system efficiency and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify technical needs, implement solutions, and contribute to continuous improvements in IT operations. This immersive internship offers hands-on experience, collaboration with senior management, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to ensure uninterrupted operations. Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems in a timely and effective manner. Assist in maintaining and upgrading IT systems, including servers, networks, and devices. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in compliance with security policies. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential technical issues. Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems as required. Document IT processes, solutions, and user guides to support team knowledge sharing. Collaborate with teams to implement IT solutions that align with organizational goals. About You: Completed Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science , or a related field required. Master’s program enrollment or completion is preferred but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for troubleshooting IT issues. Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and networking protocols. Experience with IT support tools and platforms (e.g., remote desktop, ticketing systems). Proficiency in system maintenance and security best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users and collaborate with teams. Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ , or similar are a plus. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
