Role Description The Database Analyst is a full-time, remote role responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s data environments. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring database performance, administering and maintaining databases, and ensuring data integrity and security. The role involves designing and modeling databases to support business requirements, creating and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and preparing data for analytics and reporting. The Database Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements that enhance reliability and scalability. This position requires consistent documentation of database structures, processes, and best practices, as well as participation in ongoing optimization and data quality initiatives.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration and Database Design to manage, configure, and optimize database systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Database Design to translate business requirements into efficient data structures.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and support data-driven decision making.
• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) to build and maintain reliable data integration and migration processes.
• Experience with relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and proficiency in SQL or similar query languages.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data quality practices, and performance tuning techniques.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud data platforms or database tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is beneficial.
