Database Engineer (Senior)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Play a key role in developing new database code and enhance existing code.
• Design and implement relational database models.
• Optimize database performance and automate operational tasks.
• Collaborate with Server Software Engineers to build multi-platform production software.
• Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of the company’s database systems.
• Analyze solutions and implement best practices for database management.
• Lead database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Computer Science or similar.
• 03+ years’ experience working on a relational database management system.
• 03+ years’ experience working with the latest editions of the Microsoft SQL Server Suite.
• Adept at creating and maintaining Stored Procedures, Views, UDFs & CTEs
• Strong Knowledge in T-SQL query writing, optimization, and tuning.
• Expert in Performing tasks such as Backups & Restores, Indexing, Compression
• Exceptional ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks and optimize throughput
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience in heavily OLTP environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Idera Diagnostic Monitoring/Compliance Manager software
• Expert in Always On Availability Groups
• Good understanding of SQL Partitioned Tables
• Development experience with VLDBs and high OLTP volume
• Expert in SSIS development.

• Open to expats, relocation to Hanoi, Vietnam required.
