Job Description
This is a remote position.
The Databricks Architect is a remote-based position in the Information Technology - Computer Software industry, specifically in the area of Business Intelligence. The primary responsibility of the architect is to provide technical direction and leadership to a group of developers, working towards achieving specific goals. The role involves designing and architecting solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements, creating and reviewing architecture artifacts, and promoting re-use through shared assets. The architect is expected to enforce adherence to architectural standards and global product guidelines, guide engineering methodologies, and provide insight on solution operations. This role requires excellent technical architecture skills, strong communication, and organizational abilities to collaborate effectively with global, distributed teams. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in solution architecture using cloud services like Azure, AWS, or GCP, with a focus on Databricks, Python, Spark, data engineering concepts, and cloud security controls. Preferred qualifications include experience in designing unified data platforms, strong coding skills, and proficiency in various cloud services and data processing frameworks.
