Job Description

The ERP Implementation Consultant will support, optimize, and enhance enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a primary focus on DEACOM ERP and its integration with SAP and Oracle platforms. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, operations, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure that ERP processes align with overall business objectives. The consultant will use strong analytical skills and hands-on ERP experience to identify and deliver process improvements across supply chain manufacturing, finance, inventory, and customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall architecture and technical roadmap for the DEACOM ERP platform.
• Design scalable ERP solutions that support manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, quality, planning, warehouse management, finance, and customer service operations.
• Translate business requirements into clear, practical technical solution designs.
• Evaluate potential system enhancements and recommend best practices that align with business goals.
• Configure and optimize DEACOM modules to improve performance, usability, and reliability.
• Recommend standardized configurations while minimizing unnecessary customizations.
• Support upgrades, including planning, testing, and deployment of new ERP functionality.
• Analyze existing business workflows and identify opportunities for automation and streamlining.
• Improve Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Financial processes by designing scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Architect ERP solutions that support bills of materials (BOM), formulas and recipes, production scheduling, batch manufacturing, lot traceability, inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping and logistics, quality management, and inventory control.
• Lead ERP implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including IT teams and third-party vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and risks, and proactively address issues to keep initiatives on track.
• Ensure ERP solutions support FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, electronic documentation standards, audit readiness, product traceability, and quality management systems.
• Design an enterprise reporting architecture that supports operational and executive decision-making.
• Build reporting strategies using Power BI, SQL, and DEACOM reporting tools, including dashboards and executive-level reports.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of ERP implementation and solution architecture experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with DEACOM ERP.
• Proven experience working within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, inventory management, procurement, quality systems, and finance processes.
• Demonstrated experience designing ERP integrations across multiple platforms.
• Strong SQL knowledge for reporting, data analysis, and integration tasks.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations in an ERP context.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system and process issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience integrating DEACOM ERP with other enterprise platforms such as SAP and Oracle.
• Nutraceutical or regulated manufacturing industries with familiarity in FDA and cGMP requirements.
• Experience designing and implementing reporting solutions using Power BI and native DEACOM reporting tools.
• Ability to develop clear technical documentation, process maps, and project plans for ERP initiatives.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements in Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and manufacturing workflows.
• Comfort working as a liaison between operations, IT, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors in a collaborative environment.

Work Environment

This role operates in a primarily remote work environment, offering flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. The consultant must be commutable to the office or open to traveling to the office at least once a month for on-site meetings, workshops, and project activities. Work is focused on a safety-conscious and quality-driven environment within the nutraceutical and manufacturing sectors, using modern ERP technologies such as DEACOM, SAP, Oracle, SQL-based tools, APIs, and business intelligence platforms like Power BI. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
