This role will focus on identifying market opportunities, executing trades across decentralized protocols, managing risk, and developing systematic approaches to on-chain trading.
The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to work directly with a team operating across the global digital asset ecosystem.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates worldwide.
The Role
As a DeFi / On-chain Trader, you will be responsible for monitoring decentralized markets, identifying trading opportunities, executing positions, and continuously improving our trading strategies.
You will combine market analysis with on-chain intelligence to understand liquidity conditions, protocol activity, token flows, and emerging market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor DeFi markets, decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, derivatives platforms, and other on-chain venues.
- Identify short-term and medium-term trading opportunities across digital assets and DeFi markets.
- Execute trades and manage positions across multiple blockchain networks and decentralized protocols.
- Analyze on-chain activity, liquidity movements, wallet behavior, token flows, and protocol metrics to support trading decisions.
- Evaluate market structure, volatility, liquidity depth, funding rates, spreads, and other relevant trading indicators.
- Develop and refine discretionary and systematic trading strategies based on market conditions.
- Monitor open positions and maintain disciplined risk management across the trading portfolio.
- Identify arbitrage, liquidity, yield, and relative-value opportunities across protocols and trading venues.
- Conduct research on new DeFi protocols, tokens, ecosystems, and emerging market structures.
- Assess smart-contract, liquidity, counterparty, bridge, oracle, and protocol-specific risks before deploying capital.
- Maintain detailed records of trading activity, performance, exposures, and strategy results.
- Build dashboards and reports to monitor P&L, drawdowns, risk exposure, liquidity, and other key trading metrics.
- Work with technical and research team members to improve data pipelines, trading tools, and market monitoring systems.
- Stay informed about major developments affecting digital asset markets, including protocol upgrades, token launches, governance decisions, liquidity events, and regulatory developments.
- Contribute to the development of internal trading frameworks, risk policies, and execution processes.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience in crypto trading, DeFi, quantitative trading, proprietary trading, market making, or a related financial markets role.
- Strong practical understanding of decentralized finance and on-chain markets.
- Demonstrated experience executing trades through decentralized exchanges and DeFi protocols.
- Strong understanding of AMMs, liquidity pools, lending markets, perpetuals, derivatives, staking, and other DeFi mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret on-chain data and translate blockchain activity into actionable trading insights.
- Experience working with multiple blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, BNB Chain, or comparable networks.
- Strong understanding of market microstructure, liquidity, slippage, volatility, and execution risk.
- Familiarity with wallets, bridges, smart contracts, transaction mechanics, and gas optimization.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate trading performance objectively.
- Experience using on-chain and market intelligence platforms such as Dune, DefiLlama, Nansen, Arkham, Token Terminal, TradingView, or similar tools.
- Strong risk-management discipline and the ability to operate effectively during highly volatile market conditions.
- Ability to work independently, make time-sensitive decisions, and take ownership of trading outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Experience
The following experience would be particularly valuable:
- Professional experience trading crypto or digital assets on behalf of a fund, proprietary trading firm, market maker, exchange, or investment company.
- Experience with on-chain arbitrage or cross-venue trading.
- Familiarity with MEV, liquidation strategies, order-flow analysis, and transaction-level blockchain data.
- Experience trading perpetual futures, options, or other crypto derivatives.
- Understanding of stablecoin markets and cross-chain liquidity.
- Experience developing quantitative trading models or automated execution strategies.
- Python, SQL, or other programming experience for market analysis and trading research.
- Experience building or using trading bots and automated monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of smart-contract architecture and common DeFi attack vectors.
- Experience managing capital or risk across multiple blockchain networks.
- Familiarity with DAO governance, token launches, liquidity mining, and protocol incentives.

We value consistent, risk-aware performance over short-term returns or excessive risk-taking.

Competitive annual compensation: $170,000 – $185,000, depending on experience and expertise
