We’re looking for a
Delivery Manager - Cyber
to join our Enterprise Technology Services team on a full-time max term contract. This role sits within Technology Risk & Governance and will be responsible for leading the successful end-to-end delivery of cyber initiatives across ETS and Cuscal.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cyber, technology delivery, governance and business change, helping ensure initiatives are delivered in line with business objectives, risk requirements and operational priorities.
Your Opportunity
As the
Delivery Manager - Cyber
, you will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are understood, priorities are clear and delivery remains aligned to Cuscal’s broader business objectives. You will manage dependencies, track activity against schedules, identify risks, remove blockers and support change adoption across customers and colleagues.
You will act as a key conduit between business stakeholders, vendors and technology teams, ensuring cyber initiatives are delivered with strong governance, clear communication and a focus on business value.
You’ll also work closely with teams across Cyber Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Cloud, Application and API delivery, Product, Service Operations, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Finance and project delivery teams.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll make an impact by:
Managing the scope, quality and budget of cyber and technology initiatives.
Delivering initiatives in line with relevant delivery frameworks, enterprise governance requirements and business priorities.
Working closely with business and technology leaders to identify, evaluate, prioritise and schedule new initiatives.
Ensuring delivery solutions align with technology roadmaps, business goals and portfolio priorities.
Building strong relationships across delivery teams, business units, strategic partners, internal customers and external stakeholders.
Managing scope changes, variations, risks and dependencies in a proactive and commercially aware way.
Providing regular delivery updates with meaningful insights around portfolio health, short-term planning and long-term delivery challenges.
Translating strategies into clear outcomes and initiatives that improve delivery throughput.
Leading change within the portfolio and supporting a one-team mindset focused on outcomes.
Managing project finances, including budgets, financial plans, variances, efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
Applying good risk management practices in line with Cuscal’s risk and compliance framework, policies and procedures.
Ensuring risks, controls, incidents and issues are captured and maintained in iRisk in a timely and accurate manner.
Engaging with risk, compliance and governance stakeholders to support safe and controlled delivery.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
Previous experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager or Consultant delivering projects in a banking or financial services environment.
Broad knowledge of payment systems and banking technology.
Experience working across multiple project delivery methodologies, including agile and waterfall.
Strong competency with Atlassian tools.
Strong delivery discipline with the ability to manage scope, quality, budgets, risks and dependencies.
Confidence working across technical and business teams to align priorities and drive outcomes.
Good judgement when balancing risk, security, operational impact and delivery priorities.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivery quality.
The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Finance, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
You’ll stand out if you have
PRINCE2, PMP, Leading SAFe or a similar project delivery certification.
Experience with enterprise WAF and DDoS platforms such as F5 BIG-IP Advanced WAF or ASM, F5 Distributed Cloud, Akamai, Cloudflare, Imperva, Azure WAF or DDoS Protection, AWS WAF or Shield or equivalent.
Experience with carrier or cloud-based DDoS services, including BGP diversion, traffic scrubbing, clean-pipe services and always-on or on-demand mitigation.
Experience with modern application-delivery technologies, including Kubernetes ingress, API gateways, service mesh, cloud load balancers and containerised applications.
Experience with bot management, client-side protection, fraud signals, API discovery or schema enforcement.
Exposure to PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent automation tooling.
Experience across Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience working in payments, banking, financial services or another regulated, high-availability industry.
Knowledge of APRA CPS 230, CPS 234, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework or ASD Essential Eight.
